There is a suggested “list” of topics; however, to write the most interesting paper, I highly suggest, you choose a topic that is of interest to YOU!  I ask that you email me your topic before June 20th.  THE LIST OF TOPICS MAY BE FOUND UNDER THE ANNOUNCEMENTS TAB.
This final paper must be an argument (as presented in this course). It must a have a clearly-stated major proposition, support of the mp, and a refutation.  Keep in mind…everything in one way or another is an argument!  You have to have a “so What?” to your paper.  Make sure there is a point to why you are discussing the particular topic/issue.
The research paper should consist of the following:
A text that is five or more pages of text.
A Works Cited page with AT LEAST FIVE SOURCES.
NO COVER PLEASE.  NO LATE PAPERS – THE SEMESTER IS ENDING AND GRADES MUST BE FINALIZED!!!
THIS FINAL PAPER IS THE CAPSTONE PROJECT OF THIS COURSE. IT DEMONSTRATES YOUR CRITICAL THINKING AND YOUR  RESEARCH SKILLS  (how you use research to support your ideas and points) and that you know how to compose an academic paper that is researched with the sources properly cited.
