Assignment Overview In Chapter 3 you learned about developing action steps and conducting feedback conferences based on the See It, Name It, and Do it process. In this assignment, you will write your own script. You can write your script from template 3A on the DVD accompanying your textbook, or you can use the Teacher Feedback Conference Template (WORD) Download Teacher Feedback Conference Template (WORD). Please refer to Chapter 3, pages 166-169 of Bambrick-Santoyo, P. (2018). Leverage Leadership 2.0: A practical guide to building exceptional schools. San Francisco, CA: Jossey Bass. Read the exemplar script or, if you wish, you can develop a completely different action step. Use the Action Steps from the Get Better Faster Scope and Sequence Starting on Page 141 in our textbook. Aggressive Monitoring is a great strategy, but, because that is used so often for exemplars in the class, choose another action step. Identify the Action Step and give a rationale for that Action Step. What did you observe in the teacher’s class or see in her data that indicates to you that the teacher would benefit from mastering this action step. On the template, write what you will say in each step of the conference as a script. For the See it part of the conference, include a link to a video that is a classroom demonstration of the action step. If you do not include a video, give a detailed description of the live model you will do to demonstrate the skill. You can also video yourself demonstrating the action step. During the Name it part of the conference, when you Punch It, after you have prompted the teacher to determine the action step, write out the action step that you will restate. Make sure it uses a verb that makes the action step measurable and observable.
