·       Your proposal should address specific users and stakeholders within your narrowed scope, not a general audience.
·       Your proposal should include an executive summaryLinks to an external site. (100-200 words) that accurately summarizes the key points of the proposal for stakeholders.
·       The content of your proposal should be divided into logical sections with precise, descriptive headings. The body of your proposal should include the following information with the specified minimum and maximum word counts:
o   A background of the problem that is tailored to the informational needs of the specific users and stakeholders (250-500 words)
o   A problem statement that explains the scope and significance of the problem to the specific users and stakeholders (400-700 words)
o   More than one potential solution that you researched and considered, as well as the evaluation criteria you used for selecting the proposed solution (400-700 words, including any tables or figures)
o   An explanation of the proposed solution and how it aligns with the priorities of the specific users and stakeholders (400-700 words)
o   A plan for implementation of the proposed solution, including measurable objectives, time sensitive outcomes, a detailed timeline for implementing the different stages of the proposed solution, justification of costs incurred by the implementation of the plan, and contingencies and limitations that may arise due to the implementation of this plan (700-1,000 words, including any tables or figures)
·       Your proposal should include a conclusion (250-500 words) that recaps the overall proposal logic, states what users and stakeholders stand to lose if the plan is not enacted, and affirms what is gained if the proposal is implemented.
You should start by creating a blank document on word processing software, such as MS Word or Google Docs. Do not download a template or use graphic design software.
Your proposal should have a cover page with a specific title that indicates the specific users and/or stakeholders who will be making a decision about your proposed solution.
Your proposal should include an auto-generated Table of Contents with precise, descriptive headings.
Your proposal should include at least one visual that enhances a user’s understanding (i.e., the visual is not just decorative). You should also provide alt text for the image and properly cite it according to APA style.
All sources used should be cited in text and a list of references should be compiled according to APA style.
You should use clear and concise language that reflects the level of technical knowledge possessed by your specific users and stakeholders, and you should avoid grammatical and mechanical errors.
You should use the four document design principles (C.R.A.P.) taught in the previous modules and in this module.
