Developing leadership Praxis
You will prepare a four paragraph, well-informed essay, double spaced with attention to APA style. Be sure to include a brief (2-3 sentence) introduction and brief (3-4 sentence) conclusion along with two (2) body paragraphs.
• Prepare your essay following the points listed below for body paragraphs and essay structure.
• Body Paragraphs:
• Leadership Characteristics and Behaviours: Describe what you believe to be your strongest leadership characteristics and behaviours or the characteristics and behaviours you would most like to develop. How do you, or will you, use these characteristics and behaviours in your personal and/or professional life? Include at least two citations (2) from our course materials. (6-7 sentences)
• Leadership Styles and Commitments: How will you display leadership through any two or the following: authentic leadership, servant leadership, transformational, leadership, stewardship, setting the example, envisioning the future, or enlisting others? Include at least two (2) citations from our course materials.(6-7 sentences)

Essay Structure:
• Your first, introductory, paragraph should 1) announce your topic, 2) preview your discussion by hinting at key points your reader will discover, and 3) state your thesis which is what the reader will learn from your essay.
• Your two middle paragraphs should each have a topic sentence, supporting sentences, and summary sentence. Paragraphs subtitles will include Leadership Characteristics and Behaviours and Leadership Styles and Practices. Each paragraph should be informed by at least two (2) resources from our class materials.
• Your final paragraph should summarize what you have written in the body paragraphs, bringing the information together and leaving the reader with something to think about. No new ideas should be introduced in the final paragraph.
