Describe the range of future career opportunities and professional options you researched with references to sources, such as Internet sites, professional organizations, etc.
In the book “Launching the Right Career,” by Kate Wendleton, she discusses a Rule of Thumb, which states that statistically, in some industries and some markets, every 200 contacts with employers (meaning, not necessarily just applying to open positions, but rather making contact with employers when jobs are already filled, open, or maybe even where jobs haven’t even been created yet) should yield a job seeker 7 interviews, and 1 job offer should result from 7 interviews (from different employers). So the idea is that a job seeker would make some connection with 200 targets, which would result in 7 interviews, which would result in 1 job offer. What is your reaction to this statistic?
