Piers Beirne and James Messerschmidt (Oxford University Press
Instructions:
1. 4-6 double spaced pages
2. Use direct quotes minimally, as this is YOUR reflection on Katz’s work and how it relates or not to what you are learning in SOC 203, so this Reflection Paper should be mainly in YOUR own words.  Please use 12 point font and number your pages.
3.  As you read the four (4) required articles and view the two (2) required videos carefully, take notes. Then, think about Katz’s ideas, arguments and research.  Do you agree or disagree with Katz’s research?  How does his work relate to our course materials, especially textbook Chapters 8, 9 and 11?  What have you learned from this reading and video viewing?  What can we all do to help correct these problems? Use course language, and be sure to cite our textbook and Katz’s work in your Paper.
