Develop a paper between 800 to 1,000 words responding to the following question:
Is Buddhism a pessimistic tradition? Why or why not? How does your understanding of Buddhism impact your own philosophy of life?
Please follow the guidelines below as you develop your paper:
The paper needs to have a title, introduction, body, and conclusion.
o Title – think of an interesting title that gets the reader’s attention
o Introduction – present the topic and your argument (your answer to the
question you’re trying to answer)
o Body – provide necessary background and explain why you have arrived
at your answer (provide evidence)
o Conclusion – wrap up your paper by discussing the
implications/significance of your argument
The paper should incorporate at least four outside academic sources (scholarly
books or articles). Wikipedia pages and non-academic online articles are not
acceptable. Evaluate your sources critically and determine whether they can
support your argument. You may use the main textbook as one of your sources
Please cite your sources appropriately using the MLA (Modern
Language Association) format. Please also prepare a separate “Works Cited”
page.
