You will apply a cascade strategy to the organization Module 2 assignment that I have attached basically picking one of those companies.

Step 1. Download
Download the Cascading Strategy Assignment template and a Microsoft Office dashboard template from the https://templates.office.com/en-us/collection-data-kpi-dashboard-templates-small-business

Modify your chosen template to fit your needs for this assignment. You will cut and paste from these two templates to develop one document to use when recording your computer screen and audio narration for this assignment. Create one or two additional content slides to display while sharing your findings. Include a title slide and a slide with APA-formatted references.

Step 2. Review
Review your strategy diamond and SWOT and PESTLE analyses from your Module 2 assignment. Also review the strategy you recommended in your Module 2 conclusion.

Step 3. Outline
Outline your chosen company’s vision, values, focus areas or strategic pillars, at least one strategic objective, at least two KPIs, and at least one strategic action on the cascade template/graphic. This will focus communicating the strategy across departments.

Note: Do not complete the lightly shaded boxes on the Cascading Strategy Assignment template because you are focusing on only one strategic objective for this assignment.

Step 4. Select
Select at least three departments for which to display data on a dashboard. Examples of organizational departments might be accounting and finance, research and development, sales, marketing, human resources, customer service, and information technology.

Step 5. Determine and Design
Determine at least three points of relevant data* for each of your chosen departments. Design your dashboard using a Microsoft Office dashboard template.

*Note: Many businesses share real data on industry-specific websites. Financial data might be found on Google Finance and Yahoo Finance. If you cannot find real data to use, though, create fictional data. The purpose of this assignment is to practice communicating data for strategy alignment across departments in pursuit of achieving “the bigger picture.”

Step 6. Compose
Compose a script or talking points to use. Envision your audience as leaders from various departments within the organization. Consider the following questions:

  • Why is it important for leaders to be aware of the KPIs in different departments?
  • Which data help the departments collaborate and remain “big-picture”-focused?
  • What do the data tell us about how well the organization is meeting its mission and vision as they align with the focus areas or strategic pillars?
  • What specific actions should the organization take to improve its strategy?
