As an extension of Assessment 2, this individual presentation requires students to operationalise their proposed campaign strategy through the creation and presentation of mock social media campaign deliverables. Students will design and pitch original social media content intended to bring their campaign concept to life on a single social media platform of choice. This assessment underscores the application of strategic reasoning, creativity, and digital content production capabilities. Course Learning Outcome Assessed:
- Critically appraise the use of digital and social media platforms
- Apply core concepts and processes underpinning digital technologies and practices in THE contexts.
Task Overview
- Begin with a strategic rationale detailing the link to the campaign idea, the brand and its audience (1-2 slides)
- Create and develop a minimum of two to a maximum of four mock content samples (1 slide per content)
- Produce original content that illustrates an execution of the social media campaign (from Assessment 2) upon launch
- Demonstrate content originality and production quality
- Clearly explain the content creation process (1 slide of written and oral explanation per content)
- Provide a clear disclosure of what tools, existing video clips, including AI software were used to what extent for the content creation
- Provide justification for content details such as type, duration, themes, effects (edits, captions, music), messages etc.
