ASSIGNMENT:                    Prepare a 4 to 6 minute speech in which you reaff

ASSIGNMENT:                    Prepare a 4 to 6 minute speech in which you
reaffirm, establish, or change an audience belief or move your audience to
action.  You must orally cite at least 5
sources and incorporate a PowerPoint presentation.
PROCEDURE:                     Select a topic that is controversial.  This topic should allow you to be able to
pick one side of the issue.  Once you
have chosen a topic, then do enough research to write a fully developed
speech. 
PURPOSE:                            This speech will
help you in fine tuning your skills of                                                          reasoning and
deduction.  It will also help you in
practicing                                                 the
use of speech language to motivate your audience. 
TIME LIMIT:                       4
to 6 minutes.
SPEAKING DATES:           As
noted on schedule.
