Organization XYZ is having difficulty with recruitment and retention. They currently have 158 open positions but are having some issues getting qualified candidates. The candidates they do receive have very short job tenures, are not qualified or they come in for their interviews and then HR/leadership can no longer reach them after the interview.

The second concern is with retention. First year turnover is at an all time high of 27%. With this being said, exit interview data, is showing that employees are leaving primarily for the following reasons:

Unclear job expectations

Dissatisfaction

Leadership concerns

Burnout

You are tasked with coming up with some recruiting strategies to find quality talent and at the same time provide some clear ways that leadership (and HR) can address the first year turnover concerns.

Part One- Using information from book (High-Impact Human Capital Strategy: Addressing the 12 Major Challenges Today’s Organizations Face by Jack Phillips and Patricia Phillips) and external sources you will create a PowerPoint presentation with a minimum of 15 slides presenting your findings from your research (excluding your title and reference slide). Please be concise in your recommendations and think about topics not only from this class and the book but previous courses as well. Provide clear examples of where to recruit and reduce turnover. You must address all four reasons provided on separate slides. Do NOT be generic in your answers. Be sure you include references.
