1.     Select a nursing organization in which you have an interest. You may use one you currently belong to or choose one from the list on pgs. 525-527 (Ch.67) in your textbook (Policy & Politics in Nursing and Health Care by Mason et al).  If there is a legitimate nursing organization you are interested in that is not on the list, you may write about that one. 
2.     On the website, find the advocacy section & list the organization’s main goals.
a.     If there are no outright stated goals, review the list of topics that this organization advocates for currently, as well as any past topics listed.
3.     Do you agree with the goals? 
4.     Are they something you would advocate for?  Why or why not?
5.     Suggest another goal for this organization.
6.     Are there any other nursing organizations  you would you be interested in joining?  
7.     What issues do you feel passionate about and would advocate for? (can be related to nursing/healthcare or not)
a.     Have you done any advocacy work? If so, for what causes?  (Ex: raising money for cancer research, writing letters to senators, etc.).
8.     Please include on the References page any organization’s website or other sites you used in completing this assignment.
9.     Submit your answers (1-2 pages) via D2L Submissions by the designated due date and time/APA format required.
