Project Proposal
An about 2,000-word project proposal (excluding references) includes the statement of the
problem, the design of the research and a review of the literature. Each proposal should include the
following six components:
a) Cover page: The research paper should include a cover page consisted of (1) course name,
(2) project title and (3) student name and student number.
b) Problem statement (300 words): Explain the problem and its significance, especially in
relation to your programme.
c) Literature Review (800 words): It is expected to (a) summarize the key ideas in the
existing literature, which you feel are of special significance to your proposed topic; (b)
relate your proposed study to the existing research; and (c) discuss how your proposed
study can extend the body of knowledge about this area.
d) Research Questions/Hypotheses (100 words): State clearly what you intend to explore.

e) Methodology (700 words): Indicate clearly the type(s) of data that you propose to collect;
the methods that you will adopt for collecting and analyzing this data; and your sampling
strategy.
f) Time Schedule (100 words): Treat the proposal as if your finalized honour project
proposal, plan on when to start and finish (a)the data collection and (b) the data analysis
before late March 2025. It is suggested to use Gantt chart.
Referencing: Within the text, information and ideas drawn from others (e.g. books, articles) must
be clearly and properly acknowledged. At the end of the paper, compile a reference list by listing
the materials you have cited in the text. Take careful note of how to write proper and consistent
citations and references. Words in the reference list will not be counted. Please use APA
(American Psychological Association) style to handle all reference materials
