Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) A rare cancer that affects fewer than 10,000 people a year, and is most common among children, though adults can develop it, too. ALL begins when too many immature white blood cells, called lymphocytes, form in the bone marrow.

Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) One of the most aggressive cancers, AML is most commonly diagnosed among people in their 60s and 70s.

Chronic lymphoblastic leukemia (CLL) One of the most common leukemias among adults, with an 88% 5-year survival rate.

Chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) An extremely rare cancer, with only several thousand diagnoses each year, and a 70.6% 5-year survival rate.

APA is a standardized way of formatting your papers and acknowledging original material such as journal information, current news articles, websites, textbooks, etc. It is essential to become familiar with the standards required in APA Style. You are given an APA style guide available to you as an e-text. In addition, WCU offers a wealth of writing resources, including essential information on APA. Please visit the Writing Resources area in Student Resources. Take some time to review APA Style and requirements this week.
