Do not use wikis, Wikipedia, Facebook, or other social media. Instead, look for stories on online news sites, professional organization websites, or journal editorials or articles.
Ensure the story is current (published within one year), relevant to nursing practice, and stimulates thoughtful reflection. Complete the assignment using the Hot Topic template following the steps below. Include the following sections . Answer the questions under each section with explanation and detail.

Reflect on the Story 
Describe one connection between the hot-topic story and your personal or professional experiences in one paragraph. 
Discuss how becoming aware of and addressing this hot topic story may positively influence your nursing practice in one paragraph. 
Consider the author’s background, affiliations, and the tone of their writing to discern potential influences on their perspective and reporting in one paragraph.
Examine Policy and Advocacy 
Describe one policy implication highlighted by the story in one paragraph. 
Discuss potential policy changes that could improve healthcare equity in one paragraph. 
Explain the nurse’s role as an advocate for policy changes that promote diversity, inclusivity, and equality in healthcare in one paragraph. 
Writing Requirements   
Communicate with minimal errors in English grammar, spelling, syntax, and punctuation.
